mySalam (Skim Perlindungan Masyarakat)
STR recipients and their spouses are covered automatically. Claim RM50 a day for an overnight stay in a government hospital ward, up to 14 days (RM700) a year.
- Check eligibility on the mySalam portal. STR recipients and spouses qualify, within the age limits (18 or 21 to 65).
- You qualify for an overnight ward stay at a government, university or armed forces hospital.
- Submit the claim with a copy of your IC (front and back) and the discharge letter showing the diagnosis and the doctor's stamp and signature.
- Claims for 2026 must be in by 30 June 2027. Payment goes to a bank account in your name.
