EPF Death Assistance (RM2,500)

KWSP – Bantuan Kematian (RM2,500)

A one-off RM2,500 goodwill payment from EPF for the widow/widower, children or parents of a member who died before 60. It is considered together with a Death Withdrawal (Pengeluaran Kematian) application filed within 6 months of the death, and is not taken from the member's savings.

  1. Check the criteria: the member was a citizen or PR, died before 60 and still had EPF savings. It is for the widow/widower (if married), children (if no spouse or divorced) or parents (if single).
  2. Submit a Death Withdrawal within 6 months of the death at any EPF office, with Form KWSP 9KM (AHL), the death certificate, your IC, proof of relationship (marriage or birth certificate) and an active bank account statement.
  3. There is no separate form. EPF considers the RM2,500 together with the Death Withdrawal (Pengeluaran Kematian) application, if that application is filed within 6 months of the death. After 6 months it is no longer considered.
