Housewife contributions 2026: EPF i-Suri (up to RM300 incentive) and PERKESO LINDUNG KASIH (RM120 a year)
By DuitMap · Published · Updated · 7 min read
Housewives earn no salary, so no employer pays EPF or PERKESO contributions for them. Two government schemes fill the gap: EPF i-Suri for retirement savings (the government adds 50% of every RM1, up to RM300 a year), and PERKESO LINDUNG KASIH for accident and invalidity protection at RM120 for 12 months.
This guide explains who qualifies, what you get, how to register and pay, and how the two schemes differ. Every figure is from EPF, PERKESO and the MOF Portal Manfaat (sources below). At the end there are work-from-home money ideas to make the contributions easier to afford.
Key facts
EPF i-Suri
50% incentive on every RM1 contributed, up to RM300 a year (RM3,000 lifetime cap)
Who qualifies for i-Suri
Women who are citizens, EPF members, under 60 and registered in eKasih as of 30 November of the previous year
LINDUNG KASIH
RM120 for 12 months, paid in advance

EPF i-Suri: who qualifies and how much you get
According to the EPF i-Suri page, i-Suri is a voluntary contribution scheme for women registered in the National Poverty Data Bank (eKasih), including housewives, widows, single mothers and single women. You must be:
A Malaysian citizen and an EPF member;
Under 60 (the age limit rose from 55 to 60 from 2026, per EPF's statement of 31 December 2025);
A woman registered in eKasih as of 30 November of the previous year.
The government pays a special incentive of 50% of every RM1 you contribute, up to RM300 a year. The lifetime cap is RM3,000 or age 60, whichever comes first. To get the full RM300, contribute at least RM600 a year (about RM50 a month). EPF's examples:

RM300 (still the maximum)
The incentive is credited twice a year, and both your contributions and the incentive are split 75%, 15% and 10% into Akaun Persaraan, Akaun Sejahtera and Akaun Fleksibel. The savings also earn EPF's annual dividend.
Budget 2027: proposed, not finalThe Budget 2027 speech lists RM380 million for matching incentives under i-Saraan, i-Saraan Plus and i-Suri, with EPF matching 'of up to RM600 a year or RM6,000 over a lifetime'. This is a proposal for 2027. EPF has not announced the 2027 i-Suri rate, so for 2026 the official maximum stays at RM300 a year.
Not in eKasih?Women not registered in eKasih as of 30 November of the previous year cannot join i-Suri, but can register for i-Saraan (the government incentive for the self-employed). See the EPF i-Saraan guide. Questions about eKasih data go to the ICU portal at the Prime Minister's Department.
